PORTFOLIO OF WORK

The following is a collection of my latest and most meaningful research projects. I am always available for collaboration and co-authoring. I hope you enjoy my work and I invite you to contact me with any questions.

NATIONAL IMAGE, MEDIA AND RECONCILIATION

This research would dive in the nexus among international political backdrop, the government-led construction of a former enemy states’ national image in domestic media and the prospect of deep interstate reconciliation in East Asia. This research is conducted within the framework of Baixian Asia Institute AFLSP Scholarship Project.

A GENDER PERSPECTIVE OF POVERTY ALLEVIATION POLICIES IN MOUNTAINOUS AREAS: A SINO - VIETNAM COMPARATIVE STUDY

The findings of this research would enrich the literature on poverty alleviation and gender equality. With increasing calling for inclusion of gender elements in policymaking, the findings from the two cases examined in this research would provide a clear picture of how gender equality could be better appreciated when designing and implementing poverty alleviation policies at local level in Vietnam and China.

TALK WITH YENCHING-ERS

As a Sinologist, not for a single moment have I ever forgotten my mandate: to study China from within and to give the world deep insights into China that might have not been presented elsewhere. This project is a blog series which includes my interviews with my fellow Yenching scholars at Yenching Academy who are more than willing to tell you interesting life stories either as a Chinese or as a foreigner living and studying in China.
